Unhealthy Relationship among Campus students

Campus relationship among students can be either intimate relationship or friendship. Friendship relationship among campus students in most cases mutate to an intimate relationship,  but for intimate to friendship it happens sporadically. These relationship are characterized by trust and mistrust issues depending on the encounters that one have been through with the campus jurisdiction. However, most students lack the ingenuity to discover the intent of the relationship until it is too late.

Toxic relationship among campus students happens ad nauseam. This has lead mass loss of life, serious cases of depression among campus students and even school dropouts. It is always difficult for the partners to discover the toxicity in the relationships. Most of them misinterpret it to love and care. For example, a partner wanting to know where you spent your day, who you were with and what you were doing is at most cases misjudged as love and care. The reality is, this are red alerts of a toxic relationship. A relationship full of insecurities.

Toxic friendship also exist. It happens when one person wants to be in control of everything that confines their friendship. It is always characterized by peer pressure. Abuse of illegal drugs and formation of criminal gangs are some of factors that keeps such friendship going. The result of this is a life full of regrets, sadness and depression.

Toxic relationship is an ulcer that is rapidly that is rapidly growing and will soon be a serious cancer if not given the necessary prescription by the responsible parties. A 2009 study by Teenage Research Unlimited confirms that nearly one in three teens experience the most serious forms of dating violence and abuse, stretching from sexual to physical abuse. This is an information from a study that was done thirteen years ago. It will shock many If the same study is done now. I am advocating for a unit on sexuality and relationship to be embedded into the university curriculum that is compulsory to every student. This will help in shading light to young teenagers and to peal off the bamboozlement concerning the matter.
